The Journey Begins with a Single Step
June 1, 2020Imagine…
It is a perfect Spring day. The sky is bright blue and you can feel the sun warming your face. The trees are in bloom and flowers are pushing their way into your line of sight. You close your eyes and take a deep, refreshing breath. And as you take in the scents, energized by all things Spring and the anticipation of great things to come, you exhale the old and invite in the new. In moments of silence, you can hear the sounds of nature and life…the birds, the breeze blowing, laughter. But in the other moments, those sounds are simply background to the uplifting, authentic, and caring conversation you’re having with the friend walking next to you.
She asks “What is it that your soul, needs today?” Encouragement? Reassurance? Someone to simply listen?
Welcome. You’ve stepped into this place – this community built on trust and respect where we can come together on our faith journeys to support, encourage and fill our souls. This is where you are meant to be and the journey begins now…with one step.
You are an important part of this equation…this journey. You are the only one who can travel this path that God has created especially for you. You have been created and called by God to be a part of this life at this time sharing the gifts and blessings that only you can give. It is your custom-made roadmap. And now, your path has intersected with ours…brought together by a shared faith in a loving God who is constantly at work in us and through us.
God is with us and guides us in so many different ways…including connecting us to those walking alongside us in love, faith and friendship.
We live together in a world full of distractions, to-do lists and energy-drainers. Let this be the place that returns you to the beautiful, purpose-filled, amazing person you already are. Let this be the place where you’re encouraged to grow…in your passions, your purpose, your faith and your relationships. Let this be the place where you are always in good, trusted company knowing that your faithful friends are walking alongside you with each and every step. There will be hills and mountain top moments. There will be valleys. There will be rocky terrain and straight paths. There will be twists and turns and discoveries beyond our imagination…and we will be together every step of the way. Supporting one another and growing together in our journeys of faith.
So where is our walk taking us today?
